We were two kids, just tryin’ to get out,
Live on the dark side of the American dream. We would dance all night, play our music loud, When we grew up, nothing was what it seemed.
So currently doing my college classes online life can get pretty boring stuck in one place, but I get the chance to travel more even if it is to a place I’ve been multiple times. My grandparent live in Washington so I’m up in the cold state of apples for two weeks. Seattle is cold but full of beauty. This is such a nice break away from everything back home.
The chances of each of us coming into existence are infinitesimally small, and even though we shall all die some day, we should count ourselves fantastically lucky to get our decades in the sun.
If you have not heard Miley Cyrus sing Jolene you are missing out in life! Not only was this one of the best concerts I have ever been to but Miley has one of the best vocals I have ever heard live. We danced all night, I’m a huge Miley Cyrus fan. I love everything she stands for. She’s not about being raunchy which is how many people see her, She is about being comfortable with yourself and you sexuality, she also believes in gender equality. She’s a role model and whether you see it or not its for the better. Women should be comfortable with themselves and be able to dress any way they want. There is a classy way to do it but if a man can run around with his shirt off why can’t a women. Go Miley!
I guess when you live in California this kind of stuff can happen. My mother is in the Military and had to go to a school in LA. I currently taking all my college classes online asked if I could join. I would do anything to get away from all the drama in our house at the moment. Although I stand in the hotel during the hours she was at work it was bliss for me. SoCal is one of my favourite places to be. My mother said that I could pick where we wanted to eat every night for the week that we were there. So being only a few miles away from Disneyland I opted for any restraint in Downtown Disney. Knowing that my mom loves Disneyland as much as me I knew that it would take much convincing to get her to get both of us tickets for the Theme park and I was right! We ended up buying three day hopper passes and everyday when my mom came home from school we would eat subway real fast, jump in the car, and head over the Mickeys place! This trip was so last minute but it was one of the most memorable Disneyland trip I have taken. Best mother Daughter date ever!
So my brother called me up and asked if I would like to go to his military ball, I said of coarse and asked if any of his friends needed dates because my best friend Lauren was going to come with me he said he could find someone. Well this was the time in my life that I got to live the real life of a gypsy. We had two weeks to buy the plane tickets and reserve a hotel room etc. So we flew from Sacramento California to st. Louis Missouri and was planning on having my brother pick us up since his Military base was still two hours away. We there just happened to be a huge snow storm and he couldn’t make it but informed us that there is a grey hound bus we can take. So we got the information on the Grey hound we called and asked how we get the tickets and they said that you could just pay the bus driver so we said alright sounds easy enough. We waited 4 hours for the bus to arrive and then the bus driver asked for our tickets and we said that we only had cash, he then further explained that we needed a ticket and that we could not get on the bus, Worried that we weren’t going to be able to get to the military base we almost just called a cab to take us to two hours to the military base (could you imagine how much that would cost!) but luckily the bus drive followed us to the bus stop asked what stop we were planning on getting off at then said that we can ride the bus with out paying. We tipped him 50$ for his generosity. Finally after a stressful day of travel we arrived. We got into our hotel room and passed out. The next day was the military ball, it was pretty cool seeing all the friends and battle buddies my brother had made in his short time in the Army, plus all the drunk soldiers were beyond entertaining. I have never been hit on so many times in one night. Haha. We went home once the ball was over and I said my good byes to my brother since I had to leave early on a flight back to California the next morning. It was a short trip but I would spend every last penny in my bank account to see my brother anytime.
My grandparent celebrated 50 years of marriage. They are everything I hope to be. Plus they are hella metal! Sicker than your average grandparents!
Halloween 2013 with my best friend Skye. The night when you meet 100 other felines.
This is a picture of my brother graduating his AIT schooling. I’m so proud of the man he has become! He now has a career and a good sense of who he is. He sacrifices his life everyday so I can live mine. So proud.
Hawaii! Hawaii was one of the most beautiful places I had ever set eyes on. The untouched forest, the salty smell in the air, clear blue oceans, and the finest of fine sand. Hawaii was amazing. We had planned this trip for about a year it was suppose to be a huge trip my grandparents, my aunts, uncles, and cousins were all suppose to come, but slowly things came up and everyone ended up not being able to make it (all had good reasons not to come) I was bummed but when my mom asked if I still wanted to go I said of course I have been waiting for this trip forever. So the trip ended up being my mom, my dad, and me. I was amazing. Being in a small group we had the chance to do everything, we went on tours, pearl harbor, surfing lessons, and hiking. I will never forget Hawaii and I hope to often visit the beautiful islands in the future.
These are the two strongest, selfless, and loving people I know. This was at my brothers boot camp graduation. The beauty on the left is my lovely mother and that handsome man on the right is my twin brother. This experience was one that was life changing for not only my brother but me. Seeing him after being out of contact for 10 weeks I could never had prepared myself for the man he grew to be. He talked looked and even his stance had shown a gentleman and soldier. The way he talked was different and the way he moved was different my brother was no longer the corky boy I had known but he was know a hero to not only me anymore but my country. I’ve never been so proud of a human being before.
